James Brind

Research Associate in Turbine Aeroacoustics

I am a Mechanical Engineering researcher specialising in the fluid mechanics and thermodynamics of turbomachinery, used in power generation and aircraft propulsion.

Presently, I work on the problem of thermoacoustic instablity in gas turbine combustors at the Whittle Laboratory, University of Cambridge. I am also a Bye-Fellow at Fitzwilliam College, teaching Thermofluid Mechanics and Mathematical Methods.
